Re: Anger!!!
by DanC
Chuck, Another great post that will hopefully help many people change for the better with respect to how they behave toward others and themselves. One way that I've heard it put by my pastor is that anger is a secondary emotion. As you pointed out, there is pretty much always a deeper cause of anger (fear, frustration or hurt) and understanding that the "anger" is a result of some other primary emotion helps to put things into a proper perspective...both when dealing with another persons anger as well as our own. For my part, I know anger often comes from not doing what I know to be right. When God's will is clearly defined in His Word and we choose to disobey, I believe this results in a loss of "joy" which can manifest itself in anger, bitterness, resentment, etc. Thanks, again, Chuck for always being such an inspiration and always helping us to challenge our current paradigms and perspectives. And I understand you're to be publishing a book soon. I can't wait to get a copy! Grace, love and peace!
