Re: Your Belief System UPDATE!
by Michelle Marie
Dear Chuck, I have read this article several times since you first posted it. Each time it makes me cry – with huge recognition of these truths. What a child learns from abuse and knowing first-hand the painful results based on wrong inner dialogues are absolutely right on from your article. I have studied recovery from child abuse for a long time now. As a result, I have also had the privilege of teaching the at risk High School youth. These kids are in great pain because they have bought into that inner dialogue. While the symptoms may vary - violence, anger, drug abuse, alcohol, over weight, under weight, early pregnancies, the results all stem from the same core – Pain. While I have come across various articles about inner dialogue, none of them have been as good as this article. Hurting children do little by little lose themselves into these wrong beliefs. Some grow to believe that they are not even good enough for God to love them, if they were not good enough for their parents. It is a painfully long road to learn and teach how to heal and to turn off those wrong inner dialogues. I love your examples on how to replace the wrong thoughts. We are all so blessed to have you sharing such inspired thoughts of growth on this blog. As I have shared with you, it is my dream to be able to someday provide Team materials geared for the at risk/hurting youth. Chuck, you could sooo reach these kids with your heart teachings. And, can you just imagine Orrin and Chris teaching History to the kids?!! They would explode with growth! I soooo love and support the genuine people in Team who are in it for the complete Team vision. I have found Faith again, Hope again, and Love again for all that I want to accomplish. You guys are the BEST! Michelle Jaquette
