Re: Personal Mission Statement
by Molly
It is said that it is not as important what we get in life as what we leave behind. I had the oppertunity to meet the man that spoke at a seminar in Oct. When skaking his hand I told him that for many years to come I would be telling people about the first time I got to hear this amazing man speak. I thanked him for that. I was also one of those 20,000 people sitting in that arena that was silent as he spoke again, you spoke from the heart about a great many things including mission statements. One of the gifts you gave that day was the simplicity of helping others create one of thier own. While you may not have been the creator of the task you chose to be the messenger. That in itself, helping 20,000+ people accomplish something few will do on their own... that still is not what makes you amazing. What makes you amazing it that every time I have heard you speak you have risked all to open your heart and allowed your audience to feel your joy, your pain & your intense passion for life. Few will do that also. You have the ability to touch lives. In my planner I carry a quote that says "The word impossible in itself means I'm possible." I listened to peoples comments both times I heard you speak. People walked away thinking that they were possible. There is part of your legacy. So again, Thank You! And yes Chuck, I quite agree..... Life is so very precious!!!
