I think that you are a great writer and story teller! I always appreciate how you write and encourage. You are a great inspiration to me. I try to grow everyday so that I can have something to give to other one day in a venue like this. So... if i were to make any requests for blog posts, it would be general and I'd just say that I like it when you tell an inspiring story and make a point.

The only other thing I'd like to know is... Isn't it Orrin's birthday? Doesn't that mean something?

After posting my other comment, I did think of a topic that I would like your opinion on...

I'd like you to list some principles/policies that you would like to see in the next leader of our country. Note: I'm not wanting you to say "vote for this gal or that guy". I just think your readers and I would benefit for hearing what you think is important for the next leader of our country to possess - specifically (for me) with regard to economic policy and foreign policy.

I am relatively new to your blog but so far I enjoy everything you post, and check Orrin's, Chris's and your blog daily. Your blog's banner lists Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness and Finances, maybe you could post articles that highlight these five areas. Maybe you have done this in the past but it is just a thought. I very much enjoy coming to your blog on a daily basis to refresh myself on important topics that you have communicated. I have been very blessed to hear you on audios and at leadership conventions over the past few years and your communication style make learning fun and simple. But that is what communicators do: they take hard topics and make them easy for everyone to understand. To me information is just giving out, but comunicating means that you get through. God has given that unique and special quality. To quote John Maxwell "good communicators have the ability to put the cookies on the lower shelf so everyone can have some."

I would love to hear you dive into greater detail about different leadership topics such as: relationship building, communuicating, habits, servant leadership, leadership landmines, blind spots, and getting into your talent zone. Just some thoughts for now. Thanks for all you do and thanks for continuing to make your learning greater than your applause.

What I'd really like to hear is an in depth summary of how you came to be the man you are today. Obviously God had a lot to do with your transformation, but what books inspired you the most, what people did you meet that you wanted to model your life by and what aspects of those people did you most want in your life? It doesn't have to be an auto-biography, but I'd love to know what made you into the guy you are today so I can use some of those things for my life.

We are excited about the new look of your blog and what you plan to do with it. I was pleased to see the title of today's post "Let me hear from you." It wasn't difficult to oblige....

We have previously communicated about living a purpose filled life and making a difference. As you know your talks have played a huge part in helping us begin that journey toward living a purpose filled life. The more we unravel the life that we have been blessed with we find that our true purpose lies in eliminating injustice and marginalization around the world.

When one looks at the root cause of conflicts in society and throughout the world the number one reason seems to lie in the absence of an abundant mentality. When individuals, governments and companies operate with a lack of abundant mentality thinking they have no choice but resort to injustice, oppression and marginalization of populations and pollution of the environment. If we are to truly leave the earth a better place for our children I feel we need to change ourselves in this respect and eventually effect a similar change in our society. We've seen the conflicts brought about because of oil and other resources. Increasingly we are seeing that fresh water is also following in the footsteps of oil. This also occurs outside the realm of oil and water. The recent events between the TEAM and Q is also a perfect example of a lack of abundant mentality.

Chuck, with the writing and speaking abilities that you have been blessed with; I can see you playing a big part in getting this message across to the masses. I'd like to see you write on the subject of truly paying attention to the negative effects our daily choices have on the lives of other individuals and the environment. The timing couldn't have been any better as we just celebrated Easter to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ. If only we would all ask ourselves the question "what would Jesus Christ have done?" when we are faced with a challenging moral or ethical dilemma such as "should I take advantage of an individual for my profit? or should we take advantage of a country for its resources? or should we pollute the earth to make a buck? etc...." Jesus called us to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and love our neighbours as ourselves....love being a verb in this context. In his time on earth Jesus challenged the status quo. I feel we can achieve true peace on earth only when we also challenge the status quo and truly love the earth and every human being irrespective of religion or race.

many years ago i sailed, dove the chanel islands, and visited SB frequently but now live back in canada. sorry i missed you in winnepeg but perhaps you will join us in red deer, calgary or edmonton someday soon.
i love your articles and talks about running as they are/were a serious passion in your life. people need to pay more attention to their passions and leaders help them remember what they are.
when one is out of sight of land, one realises the only thing keeping them alive is the grace of God. too often, once they hit land, they forget what they have just remembered and go on with life on their own. your messages successfully blend meaning of life with true meaning of life and i thank you.

Chuck, i would love to hear specific business dealing stories (omitting any names) and what you observed and learned at the time and in retrospect. so that those of us who have less experience can recognise danger signs when they are in front of us.
ex. make belief: 'i remember talking to this restaurant owner about... He was very suspicious of me. then... then... then i realised that he saw himself as dishonest, so thought that i naturally had to be.' thank you, dattrax

As stated in my previous post to you, I feel that I can learn a great deal from you in several areas of life skills, and eternal for that matter. The most important being my faith. Articles about parenting would also be helpful, as I am a single father. The stories that I have heard you tell about your father are truly inspiring. Your emotions when speaking about him show how much you love him and how much his example has meant to you in your life. They remind me of the stories that Terri Brady tells about her father and being cut from the same cloth as John Wooden. Maybe an article dedicated to your father would be appropriate for everyone to appreciate what kind of man he is. If this country had more men like you and your father, the world would be a better place.

I read a great article by Colin Powell on the Success Magazine website regarding family values. He stated that “Values are the conscience of society.” He asked the readers to think of two ways you can be a better steward of your family and your country. These are the types of articles that I would like to see more of. Articles about how we create a country that we can be proud of, one person at a time, one family at a time.

As I was reviewing your site for past articles, I found that back in 2004 you did some book reviews. Maybe more of those would be helpful as well.

Chuck, I really enjoyed my time spent with you at TJ's (tee hee) in St. Louis. I am so fortunate to call your wonderful family my friends. You inspire us all and give us just that much more determination to do the right thing. I for one will never care if I make a dime at any of the endeavors but, want to make a difference in peoples lives.
